When we spoke with John Barone, their Warranty manager, and asked if they were going to repair our drive way to ensure it meets the required code, he laughed and told us 'no'. I was also asked not to put on the closing document that there were open items and also was softly threatened that the PM would not like it if we did it, he may screw up our warranty. And if we didn't close that day, the house would go on the market for sale and we would have to buy it at the listed price . Additionally, the balcony tile I selected at design center was a cream colored tile to match the brown brick exterior. But, when the contractor was opening the boxes, I told him that tile didn't look correct... Coventry confirmed that tile was the one selected.

I think most buyers will worry about the warranty with the builder after closing, but with Conventry Home I don't feel that at all, no questions need, they just come to check and fix. Recommended to whom would like to build a sweet home.

Before our 1 year walk-through we noticed that rebar was starting to come through the concrete and again reported this problem to Coventry during our final 1 year walk-through. We were again told that a supervisor would have to come and view this. It has now been over 2 years since we have moved in and we are still trying to have both items addressed. Upon providing this information to Coventry we were informed that they are refusing to follow the required standards and will now no longer be repairing the panel with the foot print either.
The builder's representative quickly followed up on negotiated items during the purchase. It’s such a great experience of house building with Coventry Homes from start to close. I would like to express my thanks to Blair for all the help he gave us that allowed us to purchase our new home on Silver Leaf. From the first visit Blair provided the information and initiative to meet our needs and ultimately build the perfect home for us. He guided and encouraged us through the long wait due to the pandemic.
You can Google Dennis and Amie Brown CBS did a story on our situation which has left us homeless and having the most difficult time finding a home. Such a bad experience so far and disappointed about their poor work moral. Every delay tactic has been used to keep pushing back the arbitration date to avoid accepting any responsibility for the product they built and sold to us. Per their contract when the cost to repair exceeds 20% of the contract price, it's a buyback.
